Autumn 2021 Newsletter Summary of Council News

Playground
Our thanks to Tyrgwynt who have awarded our community a generous grant to purchase a new picnic table for our playground. We hope this will be installed by late autumn.

Dog Fouling
Please can we ask all residents to pick up after their dogs, we have had a problem with dog mess in the football field behind the school, which has been rather unpleasant for children who were playing football at the time.

Community Speed watch
Thank you to everyone who has put their names forward to join our community speed watch group. Our PCSO Sarah Pocock will be in touch soon and hopefully we will be able to encourage drivers to reduce their speed.

Queen’s 70 year celebration
Our Queen celebrates 70 years next year from June 2nd – June 5th 2022, and we would like to hold a community event. We would like to hear your ideas about how our community can celebrate this weekend, please do let us know.

If you would like to discuss any of the above items or issues, please come along to our next Council meeting.

Our council meetings take place on the last Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm in the community centre, the first 10 minutes are for residents to raise any concerns they may have, so please do come along if you would like to bring something to our attention, alternatively you can speak to one of our Community Councillors or the Clerk
