CCRA – Let’s Talk About Supporting the Community

Helping Hands

As you will all be aware Castle Caereinion Recreation Association was left a legacy by the late and much-loved Mike ‘the Shop’. There are many changes ahead and this is true of the Community Hall. Michael’s legacy means that these could be exciting times with opportunities to develop facilities at the hall, such as the grounds which surround it.

We are lucky enough to own the hall, the field at the rear and the area to the side which includes the top car park. We are now asking you to begin to think and talk to members of your families (all ages), neighbours, friends, people you meet in the community about what you would like to see at the hall. Let’s get a conversation going.

Early next year we will be asking for these ideas and holding drop-in sessions as we begin to make plans about what could be possible.

The Community Hall was built by the community and belongs to the community; that is, to each and every one of you. It will not be closing, but without the full support of everyone in the community, any developments are unlikely to go ahead. What better memorial to Michael than the whole community coming together to achieve something great?

We’ll be in touch soon and look forward to hearing your ideas.
